Parent & Spectator Code of Conduct

At East Nicolaus Jr. Spartans, we believe every athlete deserves a positive, respectful, and encouraging environment. Parents, family members, and spectators play an important role in creating that experience.

Sportsmanship

  • Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times.
  • Support athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and other families with respect.
  • Remember that youth sports are about learning, development, teamwork, and fun.

Respectful Behavior

  • Treat coaches, officials, Board members, volunteers, athletes, and other spectators with courtesy and respect.
  • Profanity, harassment, intimidation, threats, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in removal from the practice, game, competition, or event and may lead to additional disciplinary action.

Allow Coaches to Coach

  • Please allow coaches to direct athletes during practices, games, and competitions.
  • Do not coach from the sidelines or interrupt practices.
  • Do not confront coaches during practices or immediately following games or competitions.

24-Hour Cooling-Off Period

Unless there is an immediate athlete safety issue or emergency, parents and spectators must wait at least 24 hours after a practice, game, competition, or event before submitting or discussing a concern.

This cooling-off period allows everyone time to reflect and helps promote respectful and productive conversations.

Chain of Communication

To help ensure concerns are addressed promptly and at the appropriate level, please follow our Chain of Communication:

  1. Head Coach
  2. Football or Cheer Commissioner
  3. East Nicolaus Jr. Spartans Board of Directors

Concerns involving an immediate safety issue may be reported promptly without waiting 24 hours.

Social Media

  • Do not use social media to air grievances or criticize athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, families, or the organization.
  • Please use the appropriate communication channels so concerns can be addressed respectfully and professionally.

Our Athletes Are Watching

By modeling respect, sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-control, we help create an environment where every child can learn, grow, and enjoy being a Jr. Spartan.

Parent Concern Form
